Sarah's Bow-tique

Hi friends and family! Just a reminder that Sarah's Bow-tique is still up and running! If anyone wants Holiday bows or winter hats let me know! Also, if you could please share with your friends that would be GREAT! My blog is still up and running, but I also have a Facebook page that I tend to update more often (feel free to "like" it). There are lots of little girls out there who would love a bow in their stocking or a bow to match their Holiday outfit. Bow boards also make great gifts! I also have hats for girls AND boys! Free shipping on orders of $50 or more but if you are out of town you need to have your Christmas order to me no later than 12/11 (12/4 if you order a bow board). If you are local you can order up until 1 week before Christmas!

Angelo - 6 months

Today AJ turned 6 months old! He said "momma" today and I got it on video!! I'm just so happy about this because all Caroline said forever was "dadda"! My kids seem to like saying "momma" when they are crying...but I'm just happy he said it.
At 6 months AJ....

• Weighs approx 18 lbs - he goes to the dr next week so I can find out exact height and weight, but when I weighed him the other day he was 18 lbs. Big boy!
• He sits up on his own.
• He rolls all over the place.
• He tries doing headstands...it's funny...he sticks his little bum so high in the air.
• He scoots backwards on his belly...I wouldn't call it crawling...it's more like sliding backwards like a snake.
• He says momma!!
  
• He sleeps all night, but has been giving me a real hard time going to sleep. It's gotten better this week, but a few times he was up till 11...and once till 1 am!! I think because of teething.
• He takes 2 naps during the day...but only 1-1.5 hrs each. I wish he would sleep a little longer because he really needs it. I really think it is just because of teething.
• He has 3 bottom teeth, but has at least 3 more coming in that I can see about to break through...2 on top, 1 on the bottom.
• He is such a happy boy. Even when he's not sleeping enough he manages to smile.
• He loves his sister. He always smiles and reaches for her when he sees her. At lunch time Caroline and her friend Jolina are very silly and he just laughs and laughs at them.
  

Happy 6 months AJ! You are such a special little boy. I am so lucky that God gave me you to take care of! I love you!

Halloween 2011

Halloween was so much fun this year! Caroline understood everything that was happening so it was fun to watch her get excited! The day of Halloween came and she could not stop talking about going to her cousins. She practically begged to take a nap that day because I told her when she wakes up we were going to her cousins! She said "I seep, wake up and go to cousins house! Yah!" Here are all the pictures and a few I took of her and her BFF, Jolina, at our house.

One funny thing I have to write down somewhere...We say a prayer with Caroline every night as part of her bedtime routine. After Halloween we said "and thank you for our cousins" Last night I tried to leave them out of the prayer (not on purpose) but Caroline quickly reminded me by interrupting and saying "and thank you for cousins." Also, for some reason she thinks she has to say a prayer if she wants to read more books. Last night we read a book, said prayers, then read another book. She wanted to read another book after that and I said no that it was time to go to bed. She said "I say prayer?" before I could even answer she folds her arms and says "Thank you mommy, and dadda, and AJ. Jesus AMEN!....I get a book now?" Haha, how could I resist??

Happy Halloween!

White Post Farm Fall Festival 2011

I think we need to make a tradition of going to the fall festival at White Post Farms. Caroline LOVED it this year! It's pretty much a fake farm...they don't actually grow anything there that is edible...and they have ridiculously expensive pumpkins (seriously, we paid $14 for a 16 lb pumpkin)...BUT, it was still fun! Caroline spent a lot of time in the jump houses. Sadly, some boy whose parents were not watching him decided to pounce on Caroline. He held her face in the floor and wouldn't let her up for what seemed like forever until I got to her. I wanted to beat him! But, instead I looked for his parents...nowhere to be found of course! So Tom told one of the workers they needed to get him out of there (he was doing it to other kids too). Anyway, we also enjoyed the animals, playground hay ride (not actually made with hay), and good food. AJ slept through most of it.

I'm so sad AJ is not in this picture :( He was asleep in the stroller...

I was in SHOCK that she not only fed these birds, but was not scared when they landed on her! She is afraid of almost every animal so this was just amazing!

If you know Caroline, you know she is a perfectionist! She was going through the pumpkin field picking up all the pumpkins that fell over! She kept yelling "uh oh! It falled over!"
