He Eats!

Tonight we fed AJ for the first time. He had some rice cereal with milk. He was pretty cute taking his first bite. We will probably stick to the cereal for a week or two and then add some fruits and veggies. Fun times at the Gounaris house!

The End...and a quilt!

8 posts later and I think we are finally all updated on our summer! I'll try not to fall behind again. Just wanted to post this one last picture. I have been working on this quilt for Caroline since I was pregnant with AJ and finally just finished it last month. I tend to get side tracked by other projects...what can I say, I just love doing crafts and making things! I'm really happy with how it turned out. It's very country-ish. It's a very simple rag quilt...probably the easiest kind of quilt you can make. It took a lot of time...not quite sure it was worth it...but in the end it's nice to look at. I added the pillows later and I think they make her room look so cute. Caroline was very happy with it!

Family Night at the Beach!

We love to go to the beach...Caroline especially loves it! Now that AJ is a little older it is easier to take him. Some nights we go there at sunset and Caroline plays in the sand and runs in the waves. I love taking pictures of Caroline at the beach with her Daddy! :-)

Ballet Pictures

I wasn't able to take many pictures...but here is what I got from her first day of ballet and tap. It's a mommy and me class...I didn't realize how much the mother's participate...I did far too many plie's (Plee-ay) in my tight jeans yesterday! I'm sure I will get more pictures as the months go on. She is signed up until May and they have a recital in May. Her favorite part was the tap dancing. She loved to jump in the shoes that make noise!

Getting all ready to go at home. She decided to wear these leg warmers...I was kinda happy when she took them off in the car, lol. :-)

Angelo - 4 Months (Edited)

Baby AJ is 4 months old now!!

*I forgot to mention I took him to the Dr and he is 15lbs 10 oz, 25 1/2 inches, head is 16 3/4...50th percentile for height and weight.

• The day he turned 4 months (Sep 4th) he got his first tooth! He did well with the first one, but the 2nd one was a little more painful it seems. It finally came in on Sep 13th...so now he has two cute little bottom front teeth to show when he smiles...and he smiles and laughs a lot! He has the cutest little dimples that just melt my heart! He sleeps very well at night. Since teething he has started to wake up 1 or 2 times in the night...I nurse him for 5 min and he goes right back to sleep...the Dr told me not to do that, but I could care less. It does the trick and lets us all sleep better!
  


• AJ really likes to jump in his bouncer! He's been having a hard time taking long naps during the day (teeth)...even though he is tired he just loves t0 bounce. Watch the video and you'll see!



• He can roll over back to belly and belly to back.



• He grabs toys...and his toes!



• We haven't fed him food yet, even though the dr said we could. I am waiting to buy The Baby Bullet I saw on TV and make him fresh organic food. I wish I had done it with Caroline. I think she would be a better eater if she hadn't ate all that processed crap. Oh well, live and learn I guess!



• He still likes to sleep swaddled. I tried transitioning him out of it since his startle reflex is almost gone...but he would not have it!!



• He sleeps from about 7-7 every night...but like I said before since he is teething he wakes up for 5 min once or twice a night. He used to take two, three hour naps...but again, since teething he is taking shorter, random naps throughout the day.

Labor Day Weekend: Upstate NY

Labor Day weekend we went to the cabin in upstate NY with Tom's dad and uncle. It was really nice to enjoy the outdoors and rest together from our busy life. Caroline had fun with her Pappou...and "another one Pappou". Tom's dad is her Pappou, but his Uncle kept telling Caroline he was Pappou too so she kept saying "it's another one Pappou". It was very cute. I love all the fun things she says! I took a loot of pictures and a couple videos, so enjoy!
