13 months

The babies are napping so it's finally time to update my blog!

I was debating whether to continue with the monthly updates on Caroline. She is still changing so much, so I think I will continue.

*Caroline is now 20 lbs 4 oz. (according to my home scale)...I don't know how tall she is, but she's getting taller. *She is such a funny girl! She makes me laugh so much every day. *She loves to play...I say "I'm gonna get you..." and she runs away as fast as she can until I catch her and tickle her! *She now says "thank you" when I hand her something...well, it doesn't actually sound like thank you...but it's the way she says it when I hand her something...I just know she is trying. *She likes to make silly faces. *She likes to be able to run free. It's almost like she's trying to loose us. She doesn't even look back to see if we are following her...she just takes off as fast as she can. *She likes to read books. *Her favorite foods are pasta, fruit, carrots, peas, and cheese! *She has had her first experiences with big kids hurting her. It was so sad for me. The first time was Sunday at her cousins Christening party. She tried to take a 3 year old boys truck and he pushed her to the ground. She's tough though...she got right back up and tried to take his truck again! Then on Tuesday we took her to the water park. A boy wasn't watching where he was running and he ran right into her knocking her head to the ground. She cried and cried. Poor girl :-( And the boy (probably 6 yrs old) didn't even stop to see if she was OK...he just kept on running. I'm happy to say she is alright though. *She loves babies...real ones and dolls...although I don't think she understands when they are real or not because she treats real babies just like she does her doll. I put a diaper on her baby doll the other day and she was so excited! She would not let go of her baby and she kept trying to get her baby to play with all her toys and sit in her bumbo chair.

That's all I can think of...we love you silly girl!

Swimming with Little Lou

On Tuesday we went swimming with Aunt Elizabeth and cousin Louis. She had a lot of fun. I'm sad I forgot to pull my camera out sooner though.

Trip to the Farm/Zoo

Saturday we took Caroline to the farm/zoo for the first time! She had a great time! She saw lots of the animals that we are always talking about and looking at in books for the first time. She loved that we just let her walk around wherever she wanted...well, almost wherever she wanted. I think she would have tried to get a little closer to the zebra if we had let her.


There was a part where you could feed the goats a bottle. We tried to let her do it, but she was a little nervous so she just watched daddy do it.

She LOVES to walk wherever she wants with no restrictions.

Birthday Party for Cousin Nicholas

Last Thursday Caroline got invited to a kids birthday party for her cousin Nicholas at Wood Kingdom. She had SO much fun. Basically it's a bunch of slides and things to climb on, and bouncy things.

Big Girl

Caroline wants to do everything that the baby I watch does. She left the room and was being really quiet...which usually means trouble...I went to check on her and found her in the swing where Jolina usually sleeps. So cute!

Caroline had her big birthday party on Sunday! Thanks everyone for making it a special day! Here are a couple cute videos of the princess blowing out the candles and walking around in her tutu and squeaky shoes.
