Update on me being annoyed...

So, I finally broke down and called my mother in-law to help me out. Apparently you have to be a New Yorker to get through at that place! I have my first appointment on August 21st. I will be 14 wks by then!
About the insurance...it actually is a pretty good price because I have no deductible. I just pay a $25 co-pay and $200 for the delivery. But, I still wish I had more choices.
When my mother in-law called she asked about the doctor. They said he is awesome and that he is the head of the department, so I guess that's good. I just want to be able to have the option to switch if I don't like him.
Anyway, hopefully later today I can find my camera and finally put my pictures on here...

ANNOYED!!!!

I am annoyed right now. I have been on hold trying to make my first doctors appointment for 21 minutes and oh about 35 seconds and counting!!! I am so mad. I have called back 5 times! That's right, this is not the first time they have put me on hold and not come back! Do I look like I have unlimited minutes people!!
Oh my goodness, I want Utah back right now! I can't believe they would do that. I am also annoyed because I have to pay $361 a month for health insurance...and I only have ONE choice for a hospital and ONE choice for a doctor. He is a old Korean man! This is not going to be fun. I am typing this and sobbing because I REALLY just want to hang up, but I can't...and it could be the hormones!
Is this normal? Has anyone ever had to wait this long just to make an appointment???????????? I just want to drive my angry pregnant self down there and yell at everyone!!!

26 minutes 17 seconds and counting.....

I finally have internet...

Yay! I finally have internet! It's been way too long. I finally got to read everyone's blogs. I was way behind on that so I didn't get to leave too many comments.
All is good on the Gounaris front...I'm still pregnant, and the baby must be very healthy because I am sick as a dog. Thank you for everyone's suggestions on what to eat and drink. I tried all of them and it's just hit and miss from day to day. There have only been a few days in the past few weeks where I haven't thrown up, and those were VERY good days!
Tom is SUPER busy working in the city. He sold his first apartment the other day...I'm very proud of all his hard work!! He leaves every morning around 8 and comes home anywhere between 7-11 PM. He is working so hard so that I can have these few months off work while I am so sick. I sure love him! I start teaching preschool again in September just until the baby comes...I'm excited to hopefully not be sick anymore...oh boy, my house is a disaster area! Every time I try to clean up I end up throwing up, so I guess it's best just to stay in bed. :(
I was finally able to get health insurance. It kicks in August 1st! I'm excited to go to the doctor and get an ultrasound! Since I was taking Clomid I worry that I might be having twins or something!
Well, now that I have internet I should be blogging a lot more so check back soon!

I'm here...

Ugh, I am still here, just really sick. We got our furniture finally! And our car comes today. I'm so excited because now when I have a craving for something I can actually go get it!!! Only 4 more weeks till I'm out of the first trimester...hopefully then I will feel better.

I'm still alive and well...but sick at the same time!!!

Yes, I am still here. Wow, Tom and I have had an interesting few weeks. When we moved we decided to make things "easy" on ourselves. However, "easy" is actually harder than we imagined. We had some movers load the truck and drive it here to deliver to us, only it is STILL not here. It was supposed to take 5 days...but it's been what...2 1/2 weeks! Our car was also supposed to be shipped...only it is still in Utah and we are here without a car. Sucks! We've been sleeping on a Queen size air mattress and living out of suitcases. I am stuck at home because I can't drive anywhere. I walk to the library every day...but that's about it. Anyway, our things our supposed to come on Sunday or Monday...the car on the other hand is a whole other story!
Well, despite the bad stuff, we have had some good things happen. We had a wonderful 4th of July. We went to Jones Beach and watched the fireworks which they do over the ocean...absolutely beautiful to hear the crashing waves and see the fireworks reflect off the water.
Tom and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary on Monday...the pictures will have to come later of all our adventures, seeing as how I don't actually have my computer yet. We went to Manhatten to Olive Garden and a show. The best part of our anniversary was celebrating the fact that we are finally going to be parents!!! Hopefully I don't regret telling everyone so early...but I just couldn't wait any longer. Besides, a lot of people already know. I am in my 8th week...so not very far along. I am experience morning sickness...or rather all day sickness. All the sickness is well worth this little miracle. Tom and I just couldn't be happier!
Funny story, as many of you know Tom and I have been trying to have a baby for over a year now. When we decided to move to NY we decided to put our baby making plans on hold until we got settled here. Little did I know...I was already pregnant. I actually found out the morning we moved here. Looks like Heavenly Father had a different plan for us then we had for ourselves. Of course I LOVE his plan!
On the not so funny part, we lost our health insurance when Tom left his job in Utah. I am now scrambling to figure out what to do since we don't qualify for any state assistance, but we also don't have money to pay for all the expenses out of pocket. Any ideas? Also, what did you eat when you were pregnant? I know I need to eat...but absolutely NOTHING sounds good or tastes good to me. I have to force feed myself! McDonalds cheeseburgers were good for a while...but that's getting old.
Well, this is a very long post...I need to save some for later when I have my pictures. Adios!

I'm Leaving on a Jet Plane...

Well, the movers are here today. It's hard to believe we are leaving. I really enjoyed our time here in St. George and hope we will come back again...
It's going to be about a month until our apartment in NY is ready for us. So, we will be living in Tom's brothers basement with our stuff in storage. Fun Fun! I probably won't be blogging much for the next month or so...adios!

Walmart and a bird that says "hoot...hoot"

So, I know I already blogged today but Tom is down stairs packing and listening to Guns and Roses which I hate! So, what else is there to do other than watch TV or blog? Anyway....
I just realized how much I love Walmart. I have been paying $58 for 150 mg of clomid at my pharmacy. Well, I decided to switch to Walmart and it was ONLY $24...$24!!!!!!! Ok so I wish I had discovered this earlier since my insurance doesn't cover any of it. Oh well....three cheers for Walmart!
I'm so sad we are moving....I love St. George...I have the best doctor here and now I am going to have to find another one :(
On another note...I think I am going to shoot the bird that has made a nest right outside my bedroom window. At 5:00 every morning I hear "hoot...hoot" and it doesn't stop until around 11 am. I usually like nature and the sounds of birds, but not when I am trying to catch some zzz's

The Narrows at Zion

I highly recommend this hike. You actually have to hike through the river, so you will need water shoes. It is awesome, as you can tell from the pictures! I love going there and seeing what a beautiful earth God has given us. It's hard to recognize such beauty when we live such fast paced lives...but there really is beauty all around us. It makes me want to "go green". :-)

Red Cliffs in 105 degree weather without any water....

I took Kim to see the Red Cliffs Reserve...lets just say it was not worth the trip this time. First of all, it was really hot and we forgot water. Second, there was no water left in the river. The water in the pools is what makes the trip worth it. As soon as we got back from the hike we drove to the nearest gas station and drank a gallon of water each!

While my sister Kim was visiting we went horseback riding on one of the trails in Zion. I'm not used to riding a horse, so boy was I sore for the next couple days.

Finally!!!

We finally have a place to live in NY. It's not in Long Beach, but it is still less than a mile walk to the beach (Glen Cove). Things are finally coming together today, thank goodness! I am getting my old job back, which is GREAT since I can still have health insurance! I just need to find a job for the summer since it is a school year only job as a preschool teacher.
Tomorrow my older sister, Kim, is coming to visit. I'm sooooo excited! It will be my last time (at least for a while) to go to Zion National Park....I will miss it!!

deja vou

You know, I really wish we had figured out that we wanted to move to NY BEFORE we packed up (3 weeks ago) and moved to this house. Now I am stuck doing this all over again. On the bright side we put on add on craigslist to sell some of our stuff so the move would be easier, and almost all of it is gone... in 1 DAY!!!!! Meanwhile, I am packing up boxes of books and seriously having some deja vou. But, what can you do when you know something is the right decision?? Now I just wish we could find a place to live in NY! We are leaving here on the 24th, but we have nowhere to go. :( Good thing the family lives there....who wants to take us and 2 cute little cats??? Well, hopefully we get the place we want in Long Beach....I would LOVE to live with the beach out my back door!

SURPRISE!!!

Well, who knew our lives would change so drastically by going to NY!?!? While we were there, we decided to move back! Tom is going to be working with his brother in Manhatten. I don't have a job yet, but hopefully soon I will find out. I am very sad to leave St. George, but I am excited for our next little adventure. :)

New York Beaches and Family!!!

I'm finally back!! Tom and I had a very enjoyable week in NY. We enjoyed spending time with family and going to the beaches. We were too busy to go to the city, but it was still a blast!
The plane ride and bus ride home really sucked! I had no space...and after only 3 hours of sleep the night before, I was forced to fall asleep in a very weird position. I am paying for it now!!! I woke up yesterday and couldn't move my neck...I guess I pulled something. I decided JetBlue is the ONLY way to fly...or first class! JetBlue gives you so much room and you get your own personal TV with lots of channels to choose from. Wow, ok JetBlue should pay me for advertising. :)

What Happens in Vegas

Ok, so this movie, What Happens in Vegas, is pretty much the best movie ever! It was so funny! Plus, it made my night because it had our lighthouse in it. The same lighthouse that she goes to is the same lighthouse that I fell in love with Tom at...and it was 5 min. from our old house in NY. Ahhh...I miss it! Just thought I would share....go see it! You will love it....sooooooooo funny!!!

Out with the old and in with the new...

Well, we have officially moved! Yay! I don't have pictures yet because I am waiting until we paint next week. We have been so busy, but we love the new place! The stairs were killer when we were moving in...but I decided they will be nice for my butt! :)

2 More Days....

Only 2 more days. It's now nap time for the kids so I actually have time to blog. While we are very excited to move, we are pretty much going crazy packing. I hate packing and have decided I never want to move again unless I am rich enough to just pay someone to move for me and to clean my house! Unfortunately, I know we will have to move again someday to house the 8-10 children that I would like to have someday. Ha! Yet another stress in my life--trying to conceive!
We started off the week with Tom having the stomach flu, or something of that nature which caused him to throw up for pretty much 24 hours straight...not fun! The packing, cleaning, and taking care of a sick husband (hard work), and watching all my little day care kiddos was all left to me. Then, I got a UTI and unfortunately I didn't get as much sympathy because Tom has to work every day...dang. I am still left packing, cleaning, watching the kiddos, and trying to remember everything that I need to remind Tom to do. He has much better things to do with his brain than remember the tedious day-to-day things. That's my job. Ha! So if any of you are wondering why I am not amazingly smart like Tom, just remember that the only reason he can be amazingly smart is because he has me ;) ha ha! Golly, I sure love him!
Anyway, I am a bit overwhelmed so I will be leaving the blogging world for the next week or two while we pack, clean, and move into our new place. When I come back there will be pictures and I'm sure I will be much happier :)
