Tonight Tom and I went to a Halloween Party that our ward had. We dressed up as 80's rockers. It was a lot of fun going and seeing everyone's costumes. Happy Halloween everyone!

This past weekend Tom's dad (AKA Baba or Patio) came to visit us here in Saint George. We had lots of fun taking Patio and his girlfriend Petroula around to see the sites of Saint George. We went to Zion National Park on Saturday and to Red Cliffs Desert Reserve on Sunday. I'm attempting to learn Greek so this weekend was very helpful since all I heard was Greek--Petroula only speaks Greek so there was a lot of translating going on.

After our day in Zion we climbed a little mountain that overlooks Saint George. No I did not do my hair like that. It was just really windy.
This weekend Tom and I went with Kurt and Jenny to the Kolob Fingers in Zion National Park. Here are just a few pictures....

I know I already put rainbow pictures on here...but this was so pretty! Tom and I woke up to this in our backyard the other morning. Isn't it gorgeous? Ahhh...I love St. George!
This was a couple weeks ago and I just didnt get around to posting it....but, better late than never. I went up to Orem to visit my good friend Bonnie. My dad and Cathie were also there so I saw them too and we went to visit my niece and nephews. Here I am with Jessica, Matthew, and Robert.

Well, I figure I need to put a new post on here since we all know there is nothing worse than clicking on the link to someones blog and finding the same post that has been there for the past month. So since I am too lazy to make my way to the other computer to upload the new pictures I have, this post will lack pictures. Sorry guys. Hopefully I will get around to the pictures this weekend.
It seems like a lot of our weekends are spent out of town, but we have finally been home for two weekends in a row. Hurray! I wish I had some exciting news such as: we're having a baby, we're millionaires, we're going to Greece....but I have no such news. The most exciting thing in my life right now is that I got a new vacuum....and at a GREAT price! We've needed a new vacuum for about a year now.
On the not so exciting list of things in my life is that I was sick this weekend. At the beginning of last week I got one of those lovely UTI's (urinary tract infection). I neglected to go to the doctor until Wednesday to get medication. *For all you ladies out there -- GO TO THE DOCTOR RIGHT AWAY IF YOU GET A UTI* I took the medicine Wednesday night and then went to bed just like any other night...so I thought. But no...at 1 am I woke up hotter than hot! I had a fever, pain through my entire body, I was nauseous, and had a horrible headache. I drank a ton of water because I felt dehydrated...but no matter what I did I still felt horrible. Eventually I started throwing everything up, including the water. I felt so week and couldn't take it anymore so Tom took me to the hospital. They promptly hooked me up to an IV. Of course they had to mess up--it took them three pokes to finally get it right! OUCH!! It turns out that the UTI went to my kidneys and turned into a kidney infection. I was there about three hours and was finally starting to feel better. Of course, just my luck, I broke out in hives! Apparently I was allergic to something. The nurses gave me benedryl and sent me home...at which point I slept for pretty much 2 days straight!
So that is the end of my crazy weekend! Maybe next time I will have a better, happier story...and some pictures!
This weekend Tom and I went to Park City with some friends. We were supposed to go to Wyoming but it didn't quite work out so we spent a couple days in Park City and then went home. We saw this beautiful rainbow on our drive home and just had to stop and take pictures!
This rainbow is AMAZING! I've never seen a full double rainbow!

Greek traditions of the reaths and walking around the table three times... The bride and groom are crowned with flowered crowns, or "stefana", which are joined by a white ribbon and have been blessed by the priest. The crowns symbolize the glory and honor bestowed on them by God, and the the ribbon signifies the couple's unity. The "Koumbaro" then exchanges the crowns three times between the couple's heads.
The priest now leads the stafana-crowned couple three times around the altar, which amounts to their first steps as a married couple. The "Koumbaro" follows close behind, holding the stefana place.
When the Ceremonial Walk ends, the priest then blesses the couple, removes the crowns and separates their previously-joined hands with the Bible, reminding them that only God can break the union they've just entered into.

Tom and I went to NY for Teddy's wedding (Tom's brother). It was so much fun to get just a little break. We did a few fun things like go to the beach! Funny story....Tom and I were enjoying the beach when we decided to walk to the lighthouse. Usually we take the wooden path to the lighthouse but this time we decided we would walk along the beach with our feet in the water. We were just walking along innocently when Tom turned to me and said "Is that guy naked?" He was very fat so it was hard to tell. I said "I don't know" and we kept walking. Then I looked up and we both realized that we were in fact at a nude beach and we were just about the only ones wearing any clothes! Needless to say we quickly walked up the path to the lighthouse and said goodbye to the nude beach. Such crazy things happen on Long Island!
