Boy oh Boy!!

Boy oh boy...do we have a boy or what!?! I don't know how the Dr missed this! I went to a place called sneak peek so I could find out the gender and see him in 3-d here in NM. He will probably be very mad at me one day for posting this picture...but here he is!

Here are all the other pictures I got for daddy and grandparents! Enjoy! We have a boy that is folded completely in half in my belly. Head down...and his legs are so long that they go past his head and he is constantly kicking me in the bladder. From what we could see he also seems to have a full head of hair and really cute little chubby cheeks! He was very sleeping and I saw him rub his eyes a few times.

Here are all the pictures and videos I got at the zoo yesterday. I know there are A LOT of videos...but they are for daddy :-) It's so hard to take pictures of a moving toddler! We had so much fun and Caroline LOVED all the animals...especially the ducks. The weather is so beautiful here. Enjoy the pics and videos! We miss you Dadda! She liked looking at the "fishies" until the big sea lion swam past the window.

Every time I would say "Caroline look at the ____" she would bend down like this with her hands on her knees and start talking to the animals. lol

She absolutely LOVED the ducks!

She was saying "Go" and running all over the place.

There were rocks in the cement...she kept trying to pick them up and getting mad when she couldn't.

She made friends with this gorilla. He came over and started knocking on the window.

Caroline LOVES "Bampa". We went to Target today and saw an older gentleman in the aisle...Caroline pointed to him and said "Bampa!"

Caroline - 18 months

Caroline is now 18 months! Wow, that went by fast. I can't believe she is now the age of some of the kids I use to work with at the nursery school. I think this is such a fun age...she makes me laugh so much every day with the things she comes up with.

At Carolines 18 month checkup she now weighs: 21.8 lbs (20th percentile) Height: 31 1/4 inches (50th percentile) Head: 18 inches (10th percentile)

She is healthy as can be! Lately Caroline's vocabulary has grown so much! She tries to say everything I say, she asks for things, she talks in the car, she talks to her babies. I love it! Some of the things she says and does that I think are cute or funny:

The other day Tom came home with a pizza and she shouted "SIZZA, SIZZA"...I didn't even know she knew what the box looked like.

She says, "poopoo" and pats her diaper no matter if she has peed or pooped. Nothing new on the potty...she still sits on it and has peed only once on it. She mostly just puts he babies on it and says "poopoo" "psssss" haha.

She tells me "no no Momma" when she is doing something she knows she's not supposed to.

She talks on the phone to daddy "hi Dadda, hi Dadda" over and over. The other night she talked to Papou on the phone so now it is "Hi Dadda, hi Papou, hi Dadda, hi Papou".

She can ask for things that she wants now (but sometimes she chooses to just throw a temper tantrum instead). She says "dink, dink", "wawa?", "eat"...and she signs them while she is saying them.

She says "down, up!" while putting her baby down and then lifting her back up.

When we open the door or she looks outside she says "brrr".

When she sees the stove she starts blowing on it "hot, hot".

When I say "Caroline, are you happy?" she almost always looks at me, puts her head down and says "no, I sad" while signing sad.

She puts her babies to bed and says "night, night" and then looks at me and says "shhhh"!

She asks to watch Signing Time ALL THE TIME. She says "sign, sign" while signing the song they sing...she loves it...she loves to watch it AND listen to it in the car. Drives me nuts because I have "Baby, baby, baby signing time" song stuck in my head ALL THE TIME! But, I'm glad she has learned to communicate a ton from watching it and learned words that we otherwise probably wouldn't have talked about much.

She likes to dance and sing now. I'm afraid I think she has my rhythm when it comes to dancing though. Some of her favorite songs to sing with me are "The Itsy Bitsy Spider", "The Wheels on the Bus", "5 Little Monkeys Swinging in the Tree", and now she likes it when I put on "Sweet Caroline" and we dance.

She takes pictures that she finds around the house of herself and she puts them in her high chair, buckles them in, and tries to feed them. Kinda weird, but it is so funny!

She LOVES to watch videos on YouTube with her Daddy! As soon as he sits down with his laptop she is right there next to him saying "cat, cat" or "woof, woof" because she loves to watch the cat, dog, and baby videos.

She loves dressing herself...especially in tutus and skirts. She will put them on and then say "oooo, pretty". When she saw a girl in church wearing a fancy dress she yelled in the middle of the meeting "tutu, tutu"!!

She loves to go to nursery at church and see her friends. She could care less that I leave her in there. I think she is glad to see me go...probably so she can see what she can get away with!

SO many things, it's just so fun to watch her learn. I feel like I have someone to talk to all day now...even if it is very simple conversation.

Baby #2 - 27 weeks

Well, I am 27 weeks now! I think that means I am officially in my 3rd trimester. I feel great, nothing much to complain about except my back. Not too much longer and we will get to meet him or her. That's right, I said him or her. We no longer know for sure what we are having for sure.
When I had my 20 week ultrasound, it was a little difficult to tell because of the positioning of the baby. We saw what we thought was a boy part...so we settled on it being a boy. At 23 weeks I asked the Dr to check again but he wouldn't. He said to wait until next time when the baby is bigger so we can get a better idea. Well, he looked on Tuesday...the baby was positioned better with legs open so we could see, but we didn't see much. He said if it's a boy there is supposed to be 2 fluid filled sacks...the bladder and the testes. We could only see the bladder. The Dr thought it was a girl, but we're not convinced. We really have no idea either way. I have another appointment with a different Dr in the office on March 1st. I'll ask her and then we will have 3 opinions. I think the bottom line is that it's just going to be a surprise! I don't usually like surprises, but this is a fun one! We have our boy name picked out, and I guess we will pick a girl name too just in case!

Busy Busy Bee

I've been really busy lately...doing what you might ask? CRAFTS! I am almost done with my sister's John Deere nursery set (now that her baby is like 2 months old), and I am making Caroline a blanket for her big girl bed that she will have in about 6 more months...AND I just started a business! It's called Sarah's Bow-tique! I make hair bows, flower hair bows, hats, beanies, bow boards to put the bows on...and I'm thinking of possibly adding tutus at some point. I've already made a few sales just by going to the grocery store and putting a hat or bow on Caroline's head...and the nurse at the Dr this morning even ordered a couple hats for her granddaughters!

So, friends and family, I was hoping you could help me out a bit? ABC Board Book

I finally finished one of the digital scrapbook projects I was working on, on Heritage Makers. I made this cool 8x8 board book for Caroline. Hope she likes it :)

Funny Girl

Caroline is really starting to talk and do funny things lately. I don't want to forget so here are a couple things she has said and done.

Yesterday we were at church. She doesn't really like Sacrament meeting...the first hour of church. She would prefer to just go to nursery and play with Zack...or "Sack" as she calls him. In the middle of the meeting she started hitting her diaper and saying "poopoo" really loud. I didn't smell anything, but I didn't really think she would tell me that if there wasn't something going on down there. So, she grabbed a diaper, I grabbed the wipes and off we went. Guess what!?! She totally lied so she could get out of there and run into the nursery to play with the toys. It was so funny. I can't believe she is only 18 mo (almost) and can already manipulate me!
We were also sitting right across from Zack (he's 2) and his family. When it was time to sing the closing hymn, Caroline and Zack went in the aisle and started dancing. Too cute!

Also, the other night Tom and I went out to the movies. My car hasn't started since it snowed and I've been stuck at home all week and needed out. Tom's mom came over to babysit. Caroline calls her Yaya and she loves when she comes over. The next morning when she woke up we had a whole conversation about where Yaya went. I think this was the longest conversation I have had with her.

Me: Caroline, did you have fun with Yaya?
Caroline: Yaya...as she shakes her head yes. Then she runs to go find her.
Me: Caroline, Yaya went bye bye.
Caroline: Bye bye? Outside?
Me: Yes, she went bye bye outside.
Caroline: Brrrr
Me: Well, she didn't stay outside in the cold. She went to her house.
Caroline: Shakes her head and points outside.

I just thought it was funny. Then she went and showed me what they did in her room. lol. So funny!

She has also become my little helper. She loves to throw things in the garbage for me. Hopefully she doesn't throw anything away that doesn't belong in the garbage. lol. The other day I found this charger and I didn't know what it went to. Caroline was playing with it and I said "Tom, what does this charger go to?" He said, "Oh, it's garbage. It's from my old phone." Caroline promptly took the charger and threw it in the garbage.

She loves to try on all her clothes. I wish I got a picture of this...the other day she had her bathing suit on, a tutu, her pink boots, a scarf, and a hat.

The first two are from the day after Christmas when she saw the snow for the first time in the morning. The third was from the other night when Tom's parents were over for dinner. We were shooting a little car across the cofee table really fast. She was doing the really cute laugh/scream every time. I guess she thought it was funny.

More Snow!

I feel like I live in Idaho again! Last night it snowed and this time we got about 2 ft. at our house! Tom has a lot of snow to shovel! Caroline and I watched for a little while from the window. Later, we went outside to play! It was pretty cold and there was really nowhere to play since the snow was so deep...so we came inside and made hot chocolate! Caroline LOVES hot chocolate. She has been walking around saying "mmm...chocet!"

23 weeks

So I can't forget our little BOY!!!!! That's right, if you haven't already heard, we are having a baby BOY! I'm so excited! His name is going to be Angelo James (Tom's dad's name is Angelo and my Dad's name is James). I'm going to call him AJ for short...it's such a cute nickname I think. I bet he's going to be a baseball player...AJ just sounds like a baseball player to me. Plus, I think Tom started making plans for coaching his baseball team as soon as we saw his little weewee on the ultrasound monitor. lol.

So, I am over halfway done being pregnant! Hurray! I feel pretty good...just the normal back pain and feeling heavy. My due date is May 5th now (wow, they gave me 2 more days...it used to be May 7th). But, he will just come when he comes. I don't plan to have a c-section unless he ends up breach like his sister. I'm a little scared, but also excited to experience labor (call me crazy). My dr. also will not induce unless I am 2 weeks past my due date...so, little Angelo would be here anytime before May 19th. I was actually really hoping for April 25th because that is my mom's birthday...I just thought it would be nice...but of course it will happen when it happens which is just what I want!

17 Months

Happy New Year! It's going to be a great year, I can feel it!

Caroline turned 17 months on December 28th, so before I forget, I want to record what she is up to and all the new things she is learning...or brag about her!

December brought Caroline lots of sicknesses...and Daddy too. Luckily I have managed to stay healthy. I've got plenty of other things to worry about, like growing a baby! I blame it all on Gymboree. She loves Gymboree and I love taking her, but EVERY SINGLE TIME she has gone she has gotten sick. So no more Gymboree until flu season is over. The last thing I want is the flu for her, or for me while pregnant! For now we still stick to playing with our little friends Jolina and Isabella.

I really don't even know where to start with how much she is growing and learning. *First of all, she is getting taller, but somehow maintaining her 21.6 lbs. I don't know exactly how tall she is now, but her pants are getting shorter! *Her vocabulary has really started to grow. She tries to repeat most every thing we say. The cutest thing was the other night when I told her to say Uncle Angelo...she said something that sounded like this "cucko an-0". It was super cute. Here are a few of her words: jacket, bye bye shoes (this is what she says when we are going somewhere), hi Dadda, WOW, Papou, Yaya, outside, burrr, poopo, Kaka (which basically means poop in Greek), baby, etc.... *She is very good at following directions...so long as she's not tired and it is something she wants to do. *She loves her potty. She says Poopo and sits on it...then she will say psssss and wipe herself. It's hilarious, but she has yet to actually go on the potty. Once she does it once I think she will catch on quickly (cause she's so smart). *She LOVES her babies. Santa and Papou and her Aunt and Uncle brought her some pretty cool baby stuff. She loves to put her babies to bed and tell me, shhh! She loves to feed them...and she loves to hit them, throw them, and kiss them. What a sweetie. lol. *She likes to build tall towers with her blocks and knock them down...I probably shouldn't have taught her that because other kids are really not going to like that if she knocks their tower down. Oh well. *She loves to jump...especially on the bed...which I also shouldn't have taught her since we plan to switch her to a big girl bed either before or a little after the new baby comes. I can just imagine her staying up all night jumping on the bed. *As of January 1st she is off the bottle. I'm glad we finally did this because now she eats much better since she's not drinking quite as much milk. *Caroline absolutely LOVES her daddy! She will see him and just wave and say "hi Dadda" over and over and over! A few times we waved bye bye and blew kisses from the window when he was leaving for work. Now ALL DAY she will want to look out the window and just say "Dadda, Dadda". She gets very excited when he comes home and runs to him. I love that she loves him so much! *We have to be careful what we do and say because she watched every move and remembers things that I never would have guessed. *Forget the parks and playgrounds...our child LOVES to run around Target for fun! Seriously, it is so funny to watch. She gets super excited and just runs! She will pick things up and talk about them. The other day she found the balls and was yelling BALL BALL so loud. Then she found the baby dolls...she found the biggest box and tried dragging it with her. It was so funny! Luckily we are able to leave without any fits for not buying everything. *She dresses herself. It is really funny. She changes her pants (she can't quite do shirts herself) all day long. And she really loved skirts and tutus! I need to get it on video. *She still loves Baby Signing Time and can sign pretty much every sign on all 4 videos. The other night we were babysitting JoJo while her parents went on a date. I said to her "Caroline, is JoJo your friend?" and she signed friend...I didn't even know she knew that one!

That's about all I can think of this month! Happy 17 months my cute little princess!
