This is a little out of order (this was 2 weeks ago), but I better post these pics before I forget. They had a free fall festival at Sagamore Hill (Teddy Roosevelts home) so we headed there for the afternoon. It was pretty small and they had really bad food which ended up making my pregnant self puke that night. But, it was a lot of fun for Caroline to just run around and see the animals.
Caroline had three chances to dress up for Halloween...this means I have about a hundred pictures of a very cute little duck. I will try to narrow it down to just a few...like maybe 50? We had so much fun! She actually really loved her duck costume and even learned to say "QUACK QUACK" by the end of the weekend. Although, she will not say that on demand...she will just quietly say it when she thinks nobody is listening. Funny girl!
So in the morning we went to our neighbors, Stefanie and Mikes, house. They have a little girl named Isabella that is just two months older than Caroline and she was also a duck for Halloween. Of course we had to get some pictures of our twin ducks!

Saturday night they had a Halloween party at church. We had a potluck dinner and the youth had decorated rooms and planed games for the kids. Also, each family was welcome to decorate a classroom and pass out candy to the kids. We didn't decorate a room...lol, we just took candy. Caroline didn't really get it but she had a lot of fun just running around and grabbing all the yellow candies and candy that you could shake (like nerds).

I don't even know where to begin this month...she is just learning so many things and doing so many cute things, I just can't keep track. I'm going to have to do weekly updates of her! Haha.
As far as I know she is about 20-21 lbs? I'll update that part after we go to the dr. on Tuesday. So check back if you are a grandparent, aunt, uncle...I don't suspect anyone else would be that interested in how much she weighs. :)
*Her words now include (some of these are repeats...I don't feel like going back and looking at last month, so I'm just going to list them all): TOUCH--She points to things that are out of her reach and says this. BALL--which she says over and over and over when she sees one in the store or if she sees something shaped like a ball while we are driving. SO cute. BABY--starting to get clearer now, but I think I am still the only one who can understand she is saying that. DADDA, MAMMA, BYE-BYE--I love when she waves bye-bye...it's just so cute! O--translation=Hello. WHAT'S THAT?, WHAT'S THIS? JO-JO, HI, DI-translation=diaper, UH-OH, THANK YOU, WA=water. That's all I can think of. *She loves to give 5. If you see her, ask her and she'll do it as hard as she can. * She signs "milk" which she signs for any drink, "more", and "eat"....we are working very hard on either talking more or using signs because she has taken screaming to a whole new level recently. When she is frustrated, wants something, tired...basically anything she is upset about she SCREAMS at the top of her lungs. It's quite annoying so hopefully next month we have a lot more signs and words to report! *She knows where her belly, head, nose, mouth, and eyes are. Although, for some reason ever since she learned head she refuses to point to her nose...she will only point to other peoples noses. *She likes to look at books and for me to read to her. She is starting to point to things in the books when I ask where they are. She always points with her middle finger. It's very funny to me. *She will follow most any command as long as it is something she is interested in doing. My favorite is "let's go take a bath"...she runs to the bathroom door (which is always closed), and pushes on it as hard as she can. I start the water and she starts throwing all her bath toys in. When that is done, she puts her arms up so I can take off her shirt...then she tries as hard as she can to get her pants and diaper off. She's just too funny. *She loves to dance, play peek-a-boo, play outside on her slide. *She likes to help me do things...one being every time I try to go to the bathroom BY MYSELF she bangs on the door or screams till I open it and she likes to hand me the toilet paper. haha. Then she likes to flush the toilet. We are getting her a potty for Christmas so maybe, just maybe, she will let me pee in peace!!!!!! *She has two good friends...Isabella, and Jolina (aka Jo-Jo). She loves to play with them. Jolina is at our house almost every day so she is always asking for her when she's not here. Most of the time she is nice to her, but she does have her moments...I think she will be a good big sister one day though ;-). *She is a picky eater...I'm working on getting more veggies in (any suggestions?). She would really prefer to eat pasta and cheese all the time. I wonder who she takes after?? *She likes to climb on everything...the kitchen table, the coffee table (which she is currently sitting on and looking at me waiting for me to tell her to get down), the sofa, our bed, etc... *She doesn't like to watch too many things on TV, but one thing she really LOVES is Baby Signing Time. This is a lifesaver for me when I am trying to keep her up just a little longer so Tom can see her before bed. *One cute thing she did the other day--she had the baby dolls bottle, but she couldn't find her baby doll...so she found a picture of a baby on the box of diapers and started kissing it and feeding it her bottle. So cute! She is going to be a GREAT big sister/mommy one day :-) *She has 14 teeth

Wow, that was a lot! We are excited for this upcoming month. Halloween is in just a couple days. She is going to be a duck...the cutest duck ever! We're excited to go to a halloween party at church, and to go trick or treating with the cousins! Also, Caroline and I get to go to NEW MEXICO for my sisters baby shower in a couple weeks! I am so excited to see everyone!
On Saturday, Caroline and I went with our friends Tarah and Jolina to the Fall Festival at White Post Farms. We had a lot of fun...until the wind started blowing all that cold air at us. Caroline was freezing, tired, and cranky by the time we left. Both the girls fell right to sleep as soon as they were warm and in the car.
Caroline likes pumpkins lately, so she was very axcited to see all the pumpkins. So excited that I couldn't get her to sit still for any pictures. Oh well! She liked the animals more this time. Expecially the pigs...probably because they are so small.

This is a little late...but better late than never. I don't want to forget all the new things she is doing.
September 28th Caroline turned 14 months. She's got quite the personality. She's not really much like me, she's more like her daddy. She now weighs about 20.2 lbs (according to my home scale). *Her favorite foods are now: mac & cheese (still), actually pretty much any type of pasta, raisens (only from the box though), fruit loops, pizza, string cheese, lunch meats...and she likes to try whatever we are eating. *She understands most of what I say to her now. If I say "Go get a book" she does...well, if she feels like it. She understands "we're going bye bye"...she will go get her shoes on. "Lets take a bath", she will go to the bathroom, "Time to change your diaper"...only if it's a poopy diaper she will go to the changing table. "Do you want to eat?", she will go to her high chair, "Do you want milk", she will sign milk and go to the kitchen....I should probably stop naming them because there are so many. I think you get the point. *She really likes to dance. As soon as she hears music she just can't help herself and she starts swaying back and forth or spinning in circles. *She loves to play outside. I feel bad because we haven't been able to do much of that lately since I've been sick. *I don't remember what things she could say last month...but now she says: dady=baby, dake=blankie, ball, Jo-Jo, di=diaper, uh-oh, an unclear version of "thank you", what's that? as she points with her middle finger, when she hands me stuff she says "here". Daddy, Momma. We're working on that. *She has started to like TV. *She LOVES to play games like Peek-a-Boo. *She likes her pocket book. I really need to get a picture of it because she will put it on her arm and then walk around with her arm out. It's so cute. *She likes to help do the dishes, sort the laundry, and put stuff in the dryer...I say "stuff" because it's not always clothes she throws in there.
I'm sure I'm leaving something out, but that's all I can think of for now.
She is so full of character. I just can't believe how adorable she is! Love you Caroline!
I have a different computer now which makes uploading pictures and videos more difficult. I will have to make another post a little later with her dancing videos! :-)
