Baby Allen

Allen Dixon has recently decided to join the Haggard family. He was born to Andrew and Sarah Haggard on December 9, 2006 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He is so adorable . . . and I'm not just saying that because he is my nephew. I couldn't stop taking pictures of him. He is just so darn cute. So, here are some pictures of baby Allen with almost every member of my family. I wish my mom was still here to see her grandbabies being born...but I'm sure she is up in heaven holding them and loving them before they come to us here on earth.

James and Cathie Haggard Wedding

This past weekend my dad got married to Cathie Thomas in the Albuquerque temple. Tom and I drove the 10 hours over there for the wedding. They had a huge turn out at the reception. It's probably the biggest reception that I've ever been to. They also had a lot of people at the sealing. My wedding looked so pathetic compared to theirs (or to anybodies) . . . not that I really care. ;) It was an exciting weekend. We have had two new additions to the family recently...Cathie...and baby Allen.

The new Mr. and Mrs. James Haggard walked into the room to be greeted by family and friends following a man playing a set of bag pipes. It seems that the new Mrs. Haggard has some Scottish blood in her.

A Long Road Trip

On our way to St. George we stopped in Baltimore, MD, Washington D.C., Buena Vista, VA, Nashville, TN, Oklahoma City, OK, Albuquerque, NM. and finally stopped at St George. The longest road trip of my life.

Sleeping Beauties

Bella and Tom had a long day after packing up the moving truck.

Moving Day

We did it! We moved to St. George, UT. It took a lot of hard work, but we packed up the house, said our farewells and moved to St. George. It was five days of dirving with our cat Bella, but we made it. It was sad for us to leave, but also exciting to think of what will come in our future.

Christmas Day

On Christmas morning we went to Tom's moms house where we had breakfast with her and Angelo (Tom's brother, my brother-in-law) Then in the afternoon we went to his brother and sister-in-laws house where we had dinner with all his brothers and their spouses.

At the beginning of December I went to Seattle to visit one of my best friends Bonnie. Her and her husband are friends of mine from college when I went to BYUI. They recently had a baby boy named Tanner. He is so adorable.

Thanksgiving Dinner

After the parade we came home where Tom and his mom, Maryann, were making us all dinner. I was so glad I didn't have to make the turkey because I have no idea how to. All I did was make my favorite green bean casserole. Tom's brother Angelo also had dinner with us. After dinner we all went to Toms uncles house for pie....Yummy!

Macy's Day Parade

Kim and I really wanted to go to the Macy's Day Parade despite the fact that it was rainy and windy. We only made it through the first 4 or 5 floats....but it was fun anyway. The city was so packed. At one point we were stuck were we were...we couldn't move either direction. We watched what we were able to watch from 39th and Broadway and then headed back to the train station because it was pouring rain....but at least now we can say that we have been to the Macy's Day Parade!

On Tuesday night Tom, Kim, Maryann (Toms mom), and I all went to see the Christmas Show at Radio City Music Hall. I think Kim really enjoyed it, as did the rest of us!

My Job

On Tuesday, I thought Kim might be bored at home so I took her with me to the preschool that I work at. It was nice having her there to keep me company and help with projects for the kids.

The Beach in November

Of course I had to take Kim to see the beach! I took her to Robert Moses beach on Monday and it was so cold I thought I would turn into an icicle. We took lots of picures and then got out of there as fast as we could. The only other people crazy enough to go to the beach in Novemember were the fisherman.

For Thanksgiving break my sister Kim came to NY to visit Tom and I. On Sunday I took her to the city to see all the sites that we could possibly see in one day. We both had a lot of fun. It was nice to show my sister where I live now and have her experience some of the things that I do every day.

After Central Park we went to see the temple. . . and then to the Top of The Rock. It's a great view, but really cold!


Next we went to Central Park! We were trying to find the ice skating rink and the bridge that are in all the movies...but we couldn't find it.


Then we went to Ground Zero. I had never been there before so it was a good experience for me too.


The first thing we did was to ride the Staten Island Ferry to see the Statue of Liberty . . . it was sooo cold on the ferry!

Columbus Day

Tom and I both had Columbus Day off -- our first day off together in a while. We decided to go pumpkin picking...as we were driving down the road we saw a beautiful river and a place to rent kayaks so we decided to try it out. After we went kayaking we went to Tom's brothers bagel store and had a late lunch -- gyros! It was a wonderful way to spend our day off!

A New Addition

I finally convinced Tom that I needed a kitten to keep me company while he is at work. Right after I talked him into it we went on Craigs List and found a lady in Bethpage that was selling kittens. We even got one for Toms mom and she loves it! It took us a while to name her...we even looked in a baby name book. We finally settled on Bella because she is a real beauty.
Tom has never had a cat before...he's a dog person...but he sure loves Bella!
